Ersan Ilyasova Picture

Ersan Ilyasova stands at 6′10 and is a player capable of playing 4 positions on the floor. His natural position would be at small forward but he can easily run the offense with his ball handling skills as well post players up with his post moves. His biggest ability is creating shots for himself off the dribble and can knock down shots from practically anywhere on the floor. His signature move is a step back fade away three pointer that he has learned to do at a surprisingly high efficiency rate. He is equally capable of taking it hard to the basket whether it is through blow bys or in traffic.

As you can see Ersan Ilyasova of the Milwaukee Bucks is a surprisingly versatile player that has draw comparisons to his friend of the same country, Hedo Turkolgu. While Turkoglu has better court vision and passing ability, Ersan excels in an another area. Ersan Ilyasova is a very motivated player, playing with a high level of energy. He is very active on both the defensive and offensive end, which usually creates extra opportunities for his team by taking charges, stealing the ball, grabbing offensive boards, and being a strong defender capable of shutting players down.

If you look at Ersan play you can see that this guy is a winner and will leave it all on the floor. That is the reason why he is regarded as one of the biggest breakout players of the 2009-2010 NBA season. He has already had several 20points-10 rebound games and looks like in the future can even average such numbers for a full season.

The one main criticism of Ersan Ilyasova is his tendency at times to force shots that are contested. He can also look to shoot more often times than pass. He is still only 22 years old and naturally has alot to learn.

If we’re to look at his future outlook, he should receive All-Star considerations at one point of his career. If he manages to stay healthy and takes a more important role in the Milwaukee Bucks, Ersan Ilyasova will be a star for years to come and surpass even his predecesor Hedo Turkoglu.
